I have been rather silent on all fronts recently, and for good reason. This weekend past we finally moved into our new house, and with that I closed a chapter of my life and started a new one. This necessarily meant I have been quite busy ever since, but on top of that, we don't yet have the internet going at our house- I know, can you imagine living without the internet?! Actually I've found it quite nice; I even sat down to read the paper for the first time in forever yesterday. Unfortunately, the sad state of things is that I have hardly had any holiday at all and I start University again on Monday. But I don't mind that too much.
You may be wondering how I'm writing this without the internet; good point, but I came in to University for several reasons, one of which was to use the net here! It was fairly impressive- 19 emails in a couple of days- and I even got one of my two exam marks back- A+ for my Latin paper, yay! I'm also going to buy some books, post some music and so on. It's all rather irrelevant to you. I can't really seem to string together coherent and logical sentences now so I'll just keep writing thoughts as they come into my head.
One of the great things about my new place is that I have got my on Sky decoder for my room- and cheap too! I've already been making the most of it, so I'm pretty happy. The move was complicated by the fact that a third of the house is being completely renovated, and will take several weeks to complete. The result is that a lot of stuff is still in storage, or in random places. Furthermore I get a nice 7am wake-up call from the builders, which I have not yet managed to sleep through. Anyway, it will all be worth it in the end.
On top of all this I have a pretty busy week coming up- my choir is singing with the APO on Thursday night and I have a singing competition on Sunday. This also means several practices through the week as well. And then there's the work I should be doing for my law courses for Semester 2.... yeah, about that... Anyway, I thought I would just take the time out to type this blabbering stream of consciousness, in case anyone was worried that I had disappeared off the face of the earth. I find it increasingly difficult to get myself round to writing blog posts, being a perfectionist when it comes to the written word. Thus it's a bit of a relief just to blab on like this without worrying too much.
So there you go. I'm still alive and I'm very happy to have finally moved out of South Auckland and away from the school I'd been at for 7 and a half years, and back to East Auckland which is definitely one of the nicest places to live! Hopefully we'll be getting internet in the next couple of days, so prepare to hear more from me! I think that's about all I have to say.
Yep, it is.
Q.E.D.
Welcome back and congratulations on your move.
ReplyDeleteI guess its my turn now to take a break from The Fickle Forgettery, as I am having major writers block due to a lot going on in my life at the moment that requires all my attention.
Guess I will focus my blogging attention to my photos as they relax me when I get stressed out.
Good luck at the singing competition, I know you will do well.
